There is nothing wrong with the AVG firewall. You may have unstable Windows Vista. It's just a temporary glitch with Yahoo! Webcam service. At one point the screen freezes, can go blank or black.
I have tried Windows Vista. Not so good, I suggest getting rid of him. This is only my personal opinion.
You can try this solution. On Yahoo! Messenger Messenger can be found at>>> Settings>>> webcam. Click "Allow the following persons in relation to my webcam" Click on "Edit" Do not add the names of their friends. You always have your permission to view your webcam.
Also check the settings of your webcam. I tested this configuration on Windows XP, Windows 2000. They work.
